When Sorin Szabo bought the land where it is the actual mansion.

Back then, here it was an old and abandoned building of a CAP. Apparently a building that wasn’t of a big interest anymore….. Nevertheless I’ve seen an opportunity, to improve ourselves, to overachieve.

Bejan Cemetery - without anything special being done for this holiday, the place is scary like in the stories. Just enough: the surrounding view, the city, the citadel, the rising mist - it is said that HERE the gods gather for counsel

Why we chose the name ‘Archia Mansion’

Archia came from the village name.

There are a lot of abandoned and neglected mansions in the Hunedoara county. We found plenty pieces of furniture and old interior decorations and we bought them from the people that didn’t use them anymore.

Our desire was to recover part of this lost and forgotten traditions and bring them in the present light, at Archia Mansion.

Every room name

is inspired by the domain

And to amplify ‘special’ and ‘different’, we decided that in regards to the area, our story and materials we had, to give each room a theme, a story to be found in the design of each corner of the mansion.
